Our Rookie Season Journey
In the DECODE Challenge, robots must read a sequence of green and purple balls using QR codes and computer vision, then launch "artifacts" (balls) into hoops in the correct order. Teams compete in alliances, with opposing teams aiming at hoops on opposite sides of the field.
How we approach the DECODE Challenge
Our autonomous routine uses AprilTag computer vision for precise navigation and QR code reading for sequence detection. We prioritize reliability over complexity, ensuring consistent autonomous performance.
Our dual-flywheel launcher provides consistent accuracy across the field. We've developed lookup tables for different distances and angles, maximizing our scoring efficiency.
We excel at alliance coordination, communicating strategy before matches and adapting our play style to complement our partner's strengths.
